⚠️Ledger 2.124.0 Update released⚠️
For those of you with Ledger cold storage wallets, a new ledger live release was issued for security upgrades. Also, I advise everyone to check and make sure your individual coin dapps are up to date as well, under the "My Ledger" section at a minimal of once a month. It is located on the bottom of the left menu.
- If you find metamask or any other app not connecting correctly, the 1st thing to do is make sure your ledger firmware and apps are up to date.
Recent updates have addressed specific issues, such as a fix for a problem affecting the addition of Ethereum (ETH) on certain systems, which was resolved in version v1.0.1.
For users experiencing connectivity or syncing problems with specific blockchains, such as Cosmos, it is recommended to use alternative platforms like Keplr.app or Cosmostation.io until Ledger Live is updated to support the latest network changes.
While Ledger Live is the primary interface, users can also interact with their Ledger devices through other frontends like MetaMask, especially if Ledger Live is not compatible with a specific network update.
It is important to keep the firmware on the Ledger device updated to ensure security, compatibility, and the ability to perform transactions, as outdated firmware can lead to issues like being unable to send coins.
