💖 Love is a State of Being
In a Gnostic(knowledge/awareness) understanding, love is not a commodity to be possessed, owned, or traded. Instead, it is an expression of divine fullness—the Pleroma—flowing directly through consciousness.
🌌 Reframing Human Connection
When we say, "You are my love," we often project ownership onto a person. A Gnostic perspective would gently reframe this: "The love I experience through you reminds me of the Love that already exists within and beyond us."
Simply Put:
🔹 Love is not property.
🔹 Love is not a contract.
🔹 Love is not something another person can give you.
🔹 Love is a state of being.
⛓️ The Trap of Ownership
The moment we attempt to own love, we create lower-self (ego) patterns, including attachment, fear of loss, jealousy, and possessiveness. These traits belong to the ego rather than the higher Self.
A helpful analogy is the sun: no one owns it, yet everyone can stand within its warmth. ☀️
🤝 From Possession to Participation
When we shift our perspective, relationships evolve from attempts at possession into acts of mutual participation. The true purpose of a relationship is not to capture love, but to support one another in remembering the love that was present before either person arrived.
Ultimately:
🔹 Love is not "mine".
🔹 Love is not "yours".
🔹 Love simply is.
The more freely love flows, the more closely it reflects the Divine Source from which it originated. ✨
